5 Reagents
5.1 potassium hydroxide in ethanol standard solution
according to the standard GB/T 601 dubbed 0.03mol/L ~ 0.05mol/L potassium hydroxide in ethanol standard

5.2 bromine thyme phenol blue (BTB) indicator
0.5g of bromine thyme phenol blue (weighing accuracy of 0.01g) placed in a beaker, add
100mL of anhydrous ethanol, then with 0.1mol/L ethanolic potassium hydroxide solution to a pH of 5.0.
5.3 ethanol

NOTE. The standard solution of potassium hydroxide in ethanol should not exceed three months, save when ethanol standard solution of potassium hydroxide precipitate or yellow, they should be clear liquid.
Calibrated before use.
6 Test procedure
