Scope
GB/T 28508-2012 is the English-translated version of 基于公用电信网的宽带客户网络总体技术要求.
GB/T 28508-2012 sets the general technical requirements for the broadband customer network, that is the network inside the customer's premises that hangs off a public telecommunication network.
It covers how the customer network connects to the telecommunication network, the services it has to support, its reference model, its functional requirements, the media formats, digital rights management, numbering and addressing, performance, and then the electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental requirements of the equipment.
It applies to broadband customer networks based on public telecommunication networks. Operators, equipment makers and the integrators that install home and office networks use it. Issued on 29 June 2012, it has applied since 1 October 2012.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the telecom-based public telecommunication networks and public telecommunication network of broadband customer connections, network support broadband customers Digital services, customer reference model broadband network, broadband customer network functionality, the broadband customer network media formats, broadband customer network Electrical Safety Rights-managed broadband network number and address of the customer, the customer performance broadband networks, broadband customer network equipment, broadband customers Network equipment electromagnetic compatibility, environmental requirements of customers broadband network equipment and so on.
This standard applies to telecommunications services and applications provided by the network through a gateway in the case of broadband customers within the network implementation.
