Scope
GB/T 28471.1-2012 is the English-translated version of 工业过程测量和控制系统用隔离式安全栅 第1部分:通用技术条件.
GB/T 28471.1-2012 is Part 1 of a two-part Chinese national standard on isolated safety barriers for industrial process measurement and control systems. It gives the general technical specification, with terms and definitions, classification, requirements, marking, packaging, storage and transportation.
Explosion-proof performance follows GB 3836.1 and GB 3836.4 on intrinsic safety, and explosion-proof and safety requirements are mandatory while other technical requirements are recommended.
Annex A is normative and Annex B is informative. It applies to isolated safety barriers, hereinafter called barriers, and it does not apply to class I (coal mine) or class III (dust or fibre atmospheres) explosion-proof electrical equipment.
Issued on 29 June 2012 and applicable from 1 November 2012, it does not replace any earlier standard.

Foreword
GB/T 28471 "industrial process measurement and control systems Isolated Barrier" is divided into two parts.
--- Part 1. General requirements;
--- Part 2. Methods for performance evaluation. This part of GB/T 28471 Part 1: This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This section explosion-proof performance by GB 3836.1 "Explosive atmospheres - Part 1: General requirements Equipment", GB 3836.4 "explosive ring Habitat - Part 4. "i" provides for the protection of equipment, "prepared by the intrinsically safe.
This part of the explosion-proof performance and safety requirements for the mandatory requirements, other technical requirements are recommended requirements.
Appendix A of this section is normative appendix, Appendix B is an informative annex.
Introduction
This section meet the needs of industrial process measurement and control systems Isolated Barrier technology development, further and IEC Guide and Directory Standards, given the isolated safety barrier of general technical conditions.
This section provides the content, intended to provide guidance for the isolated safety barrier design, development, research, product standards for enterprises to prepare barrier Provide evidence.
1 Scope
This section GB/T 28471 requirements for industrial process measurement and control systems Terms and definitions Isolated Barrier, classification, to Requirements, marking, packaging, storage and transportation.
This section applies to industrial process measurement and control systems Isolated Barrier (hereinafter referred to as barrier).
This section does not apply to class I (coal mine) and Class III (dust or fibers atmospheres) explosion-proof electrical equipment. Barrier is a device context intrinsically safe system.
