In force from 1 November 2025. Issued on 25 April 2025, it has been in force since 1 November 2025.

Introduction

Livestock and poultry genetic resources are important strategic resources for maintaining national ecological security and agricultural security, and are the material basis for the high-quality development of animal husbandry.

Conducting livestock and poultry genetic resource surveys is a statutory duty stipulated in the Animal Husbandry Law of the People's Republic of China and is an important task in approving and identifying new livestock and poultry breeds.
