Scope

GB/T 26719-2022 is the English-translated version of 用水单位用水统计通则.

GB/T 26719-2022 sets out how a water-using organization in China keeps statistics of the water it uses.

It gives the general rules, the scope and content of the statistics and the statistical reports for agricultural, industrial and service-sector water users, and requires each organization to set up its own statistical system and to standardize the content and the methods.

Water is counted by source - conventional and unconventional water, own facilities and purchased water - and by use, and is broken down by production unit and by metering instrument, down to the single water-using system.

It cites GB/T 21534 and GB/T 24789, and asks for water-use efficiency and water-saving potential to be analysed regularly. It replaces GB/T 26719-2011, was issued on 12 October 2022 and has applied since 12 October 2022.
