Scope
GB/T 26659-2011 is the English-translated version of 铸造用再生硅砂.
GB/T 26659-2011 covers reclaimed silica sand for foundry, which the draft calls foundry sand regeneration.
Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and grade, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and the packaging, labelling, transport and storage requirements of the regenerated foundry sand, and that it applies to the recycled sand used for moulding and core making in foundry production, with water glass sand excepted.
Clause 3 states that the terms and definitions of GB/T 5611 and the one established here apply, and that single definition is for used sand from casting that has been put through stripping and other processes so that its casting performance meets production requirements; the draft does not print the term name itself.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the foundry sand regeneration of terms and definitions, classification and grade, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packet Equipment, labeling, transport and storage requirements.
This standard applies to foundry modeling, core recycled sand (except water glass sand outside).
