Scope

GB/T 26423-2010 is the English-translated version of 森林资源术语.

GB/T 26423-2010 fixes the vocabulary of forest resources management in China. It gives the terms and definitions used in forest survey and adjustment, in the description of stands and of their growth, in inventory and mapping, and in the planning of forest use, so that a figure quoted in a management plan means the same thing everywhere.

It applies to the management of forest resources and to the research, teaching and production that go with it. Forest administrations, survey institutes and universities use it. Issued on 14 January 2011, it has applied since 1 June 2011.

Foreword

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of forest resources management.

This standard applies to management and related research, teaching, production and other areas of forest resources.

2 Forest adjustment

2.1 Forest adjustment

Through appropriate forest management measures will be progressively oriented to meet the reality of forest technology and methods of forest management objectives.

2.2 Sustainable use of forest

Balanced, lasting and reasonably well regeneration of forests, ensuring current production and ecosystem services so that forest resources can continue with the inexhaustible forest Use.

2.3 Modern sustainable use of forest

Within a certain scope, we can continuously produce the desired economic development and people's living wood and forest products, continue to play Forest Ecological, economic and social benefits and improve forest productivity, based on the expanded utilization of forests.

2.4 Stand stand
