Scope
GB/T 25432-2025 is the English-translated version of 平板硫化机安全要求.
GB/T 25432-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the platen press that cures rubber between heated plates — the guarding of the mould area where the platens close, the power-operated clamping and mould changing systems, the Type II and Type III protection built around light curtains and active guards on hydraulic and electric axes, the single and dual confirmation systems, the two-hand control used inside the mould area, the noise measurement, and the manual and the safety signs. It covers presses with a platen stroke over 6 mm, and excludes tyre curing presses and bladder and inner tube presses. It replaces GB 25432-2010, under the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. In force from 1 August 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB 25432-2010.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.
This document replaces GB 25432-2010 "Safety Requirements for Flat Vulcanizing Machines". Compared with GB 25432-2010, the only changes are structural adjustments and editing.
Aside from the sexual alterations, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms "magnetic clamping system", "electric drive system", "motor", and "motor control unit" have been added (see Chapter 3);
b) The "Example of a frame-plate structure upward-moving single-layer flat vulcanizing machine" has been deleted (see Figure 7 in the 2010 edition);
c) Increased safety performance level requirements for protective measures (see 4.3.1.1, 4.4.1.1.1, 4.4.1.1.4, 4.4.1.1.5, 4.4.1.1.6);
d) Added "Safe Torque Cancellation (STO)" (see 4.4.1.1.6.1);
e) The normative appendix “Type I Active Interlocking Protective Device” has been deleted (see Appendix A of the 2010 edition);
f) Increased risks of electromagnetic interference and mechanical design failure to adhere to ergonomic principles (see A.3.8, A.3.9);
g) Increased hazards associated with power-operated mold clamping systems and power-operated mold changing devices (see A.5, A.6);
h) Additional hazards related to a specific design have been changed (see A.7, 4.5 of the 2010 edition);
i) The additional hazards associated with the use of assistive devices have been changed (see A.8, 4.6 of the 2010 edition);
j) The normative appendix “Type II Active Interlocking Protective Device” has been amended (see Appendix B, Appendix B of the 2010 edition);

1 Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of flat vulcanizing machines for rubber and rubber-plastic blends with a stroke exceeding 6 mm.
This document applies to the entire lifecycle of the flat vulcanizing machine (see section 5.4 of GB/T 15706-2012), during the intended use process.
In addition, all significant hazards related to the flat vulcanizing machine that may arise from misuse that the manufacturer could reasonably foresee, and in cases of such misuse.
Hazardous conditions and hazardous events (see Appendix A).
This document specifies the additional hazards posed by the following devices.
— Reciprocating/rotary tables used for mold loading/unloading and/or cooling;
— Magnetic clamping system.
This document does not include auxiliary devices (3.10), but only covers the interaction between the flat vulcanizing machine and auxiliary devices (especially the mold loading/unloading device).
Additional dangers caused by it.
This document does not cover the following machines.
