GB/T 24827-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the street lighting luminaire - the luminous flux and efficacy, the intensity distribution and the glare and upward light it must not produce, the colour properties, the ingress protection and the maintained output over a life measured in tens of thousands of hours. 4 General test requirements
4.1 The light source used in the test shall meet the requirements of Appendix A.
4.2 The luminaires should be tested in the condition they were delivered.
4.3 Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be conducted at an ambient temperature of 25°C±2°C and a power supply of 220V and 50Hz. If the manufacturer specifies the voltage for the test, then the test shall be conducted according to the manufacturer's statement.
4.4 The test equipment shall have sufficient accuracy and shall meet the requirements of Appendix B.
4.5 Generally, different models and specifications of luminaires should be tested separately. When a group of luminaires has the same characteristics specified in
e) below, they can be tested separately. The testing of this group of lamps should cover the main inspection model. The selected main inspection model should be representative and able to lead to the most unfavorable test results.
a) According to Appendix S of GB/T 7000.1-2023, it belongs to the same series;
b) The same luminaire optical system;
c) Same light source model and specifications;
d) The same control device for the lamps and the same nominal power factor value for the lamps;
e) Same shell material.

8.5.1.2 Vibration Test The luminaire is fastened to the vibration generator in its most unfavorable normal installation position, and vibrates on each plane according to the vibration acceleration and resonant frequency. It was subjected to 100,000 vibrations. Vibration tests on each plane can be performed using different spare samples to eliminate the effects of aging of the connecting parts. At the end of the test, the luminaire's casing should not be damaged, electrical clearances should not be reduced, and all components of the luminaire should not be loose. Any possibility of damage... Damage that poses a safety hazard is considered a test failure. Damage to a replaceable light source does not necessarily indicate a test failure.
8.5.2 Light fixture mounting bolt test The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of
4.12.1 of GB/T 7000.1-2023.
8.5.3 Fixing of lamp mounting interfaces and covers Use a measuring tool with an error of no more than
0.1 mm to measure the diameter of the mounting interface hole of the lamp. The fixing and opening methods of the cover are determined by operation and visual inspection. Inspection method.
8.5.4 Fall Protection Fall protection testing includes static load testing and dynamic load testing.
---Static load test. The fall arrestor should be able to withstand a load of 4 times the weight of the lamp and should remain in operation for at least 1 hour without failure;
---Dynamic load test. Securely fix the end of the fall arrestor away from the luminaire, with the luminaire suspended only by the fall arrestor, and raise the luminaire vertically. The object is brought to the same height as the suspension point and allowed to fall freely from a height of at least 1 meter. This test is performed 5 times. See the drop diagram below. Figure 1.
8.5.5 Dustproof, protection against solid foreign objects, and waterproof The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of GB/T 7000.1-2023.
8.5.6 Protection level of the enclosure against external mechanical impact The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 20138.
8.5.7 Adjustability Visual inspection was conducted.
8.5.8 Substitutability Visual inspection and testing in accordance with GB/T 34846 and GB/T 35269 are required.
8.5.9 Requirements for key components affecting the lifespan of luminaires The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of

Lighting fixtures should be classified according to GB/T 7000.1-2023 and GB 7000.203.
Note. See Appendix C for an introduction to the light distribution types of road lighting fixtures. Road lighting fixtures should be classified into Grade A, Grade B, or Grade C according to their performance level.
7.1 Marking
7.1.1 Markings on lamps The following information (a) to (f) should be marked on the light fixture.
a) Performance rating of the luminaire;
b) The light output ratio (LOR) of the luminaire or the total luminous flux of the luminaire;
c) The rated input power and efficiency of the luminaire; for luminaires with built-in batteries, the maximum input power should also be marked.
d) For luminaires with adjustable light source positions, the adjustment position should be clearly marked near the lamp holder mounting location;
e) For luminaires with adjustable tilt angles, the adjustment angle should be marked at the installation location;
f) Where applicable, an index (such as a QR code, webpage, etc.) of the electronic file of the luminous intensity data sheet for the luminaire.
7.1.2 Product Information The luminaires shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 9 of GB/T 31897.1-2025.LED luminaires shall also comply with GB/T 31897.201-2025. The provisions of Chapter 4 of the manual are as follows: The following information (a) to (e) shall be provided in the instruction manual provided with the luminaire (or, where appropriate, in electronic form).
a) The model and specifications of the light source and the control device of the lamp, and the corresponding manufacturer;
b) Electronic file of the luminous intensity data sheet for the luminaire;
c) For road lighting fixtures, the applicable fixture layout, applicable road category, road surface reflection type, road width, and lamp specifications should be clearly indicated. Installation location of the tool;
Note. The product manual may state its light distribution type; see Appendix C for a description of the light distribution type.
d) Environmental conditions suitable for the luminaire, such as ambient temperature range, maximum relative humidity, altitude, and distance of the luminaire's operating area from the coastline. Information such as distance;
e) Luminous flux maintenance life of the luminaire.
7.2 Electrical Parameters
7.2.1 Input Power The initial input power should not exceed 110% of the rated input power. The input power of luminaires with built-in batteries in the charging state should not exceed [a certain value]. It should exceed the maximum input power marked.
7.2.2 Standby power Luminaires with dimming and color temperature adjustment functions shall meet the requirements of
4.4 in GB 37478-2025 and shall not exceed the claimed values.
7.2.3 Power Factor The power factor of the luminaire should not be lower than 0.80, and the power factor of the LED luminaire should not be lower than 0.90.
7.3 Optical Performance
7.3.1 Luminaire performance and luminous flux maintenance life The efficiency of LED lighting fixtures should not be less than 90% of the rated value. The luminous flux maintenance life of LED luminaires shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 33721-2026.
7.3.2 Light Output Ratio The light output ratio of road lighting fixtures using replaceable light sources should not be less than 70%.
7.3.3 Initial Luminous Flux The initial luminous flux of the luminaire should not be less than 90% of the rated value.
7.3.4 Light Intensity Distribution The luminous intensity distribution of road lighting fixtures should be consistent with the manufacturer's claims and meet the requirements of Appendix B of GB/T 31897.1-2025.
7.3.5 Chromaticity coordinates and color rendering index
7.3.5.1 The rated general color rendering index Ra of street lighting fixtures and road lighting fixtures in high color recognition areas shall not be less than 70. The measured value should not be lower than the rated value minus 3.
7.3.5.2 When using LED light sources, the following provisions shall be met.
a) The rated general color rendering index (Ra) should not be lower than 70, and the measured color rendering index should not be less than the rated color rendering index - 3;
b) The chromaticity tolerance (SDCM) of the luminaire should not exceed 7.
7.3.6 Energy efficiency evaluation Road lighting fixtures shall meet the requirements of
a) Standard values for road lighting Based on the measured spatial photometric distribution data of the luminaires, and the luminaire layout, road category, and road conditions specified in the manufacturer's instructions... Surface reflection type, road width, luminaire overhang length and elevation angle, and average road surface luminance calculated according to Appendix D, road surface luminance, and road surface reflectance. Overall uniformity of surface luminance, longitudinal uniformity of road surface luminance, average illuminance of road surface, uniformity of road surface illuminance, threshold increment, and environmental response. It complies with the requirements of CJJ45.
b) Lighting power density Road lighting fixtures should meet the requirements for lighting power density, while also satisfying the road lighting standard values. Calculated lighting power... The density value should meet the requirements of CJJ45.
7.4 Lighting Fixture Structure
7.4.1 Vibration resistance Luminaires should be adequately protected against vibration. The conformity shall be inspected according to the vibration test in 8.5.1.
7.4.2 Lighting Fixture Mounting Bolts The mounting bolts of the luminaire should be able to withstand the torque test specified in
4.12.1 of GB/T 7000.1-2023.The test torque value used is... Twice the torque value specified in Table
4.1 of GB/T 7000.1-2023.
7.4.3 Fixing of lamp mounting interfaces and covers
7.4.3.1 The specifications of the mounting interface hole diameter on cantilevered luminaires should preferably be 48mm, 60mm or 76mm.
Note. The quality of the lamp should be considered when selecting the aperture size.
7.4.3.2 Luminaires using replaceable light sources should have a structure that facilitates the replacement and maintenance of the light source, i.e..
a) For replacing light sources and maintaining luminaires, the covers that need to be opened should be secured in a way that allows for easy opening and closing using common tools. Closed;
b) Lamps with replaceable light sources should preferably have a top-opening cover.
Note. Replaceable light sources generally refer to high-pressure sodium lamps, metal halide lamps, self-ballasted LED lamps, etc.
7.4.4 Fall Protection The lighting fixtures should have a fall protection device. One end of the fall protection device should be fixed to the lighting fixture, and the other end should be fixed to the lamp post.
7.4.5 Dustproof, protection against solid foreign objects, and waterproof The enclosure protection rating of the light source cavity of the lamp should be no less than IP55. The enclosure protection rating of the electrical cavity of the luminaire should be no less than IP43.
7.4.6 Protection level of the enclosure against external mechanical impacts The IK rating of the luminaire housing should be no less than IK08, except for the light-emitting surface.
7.4.7 Adjustability Lighting fixtures should have an adjustable elevation angle. Lighting fixtures should ideally have a horizontal alignment indicator.
7.4.8 Substitutability LED control devices, LED modules, surge protectors, and individual lamp controllers for LED lighting fixtures should be replaceable. The mechanical mounting interfaces of LED modules and waterproof connectors should conform to the requirements of GB/T 34846; for any requirements not covered herein, they should conform to GB/T 35269. According to the regulations.
7.4.9 Requirements for key components affecting the lifespan of luminaires
7.4.9.1 Luminaires shall be subjected to thermal testing in accordance with the provisions of
12.4 of GB/T 7000.1-2023, except for 12.4.2b) of GB/T 7000.1-2023. For applicable lighting fixtures, the temperature limits for critical components should meet the following requirements.
---The temperature limit for capacitors should be tc minus 5°C;
---The internal conductors shall conform to the corresponding conductor insulation temperature limit in Table
12.2 of GB/T 7000.1-2023, minus 15°C;
---The internal plastic parts shall undergo a ball crush test according to
13.2.1 of GB/T 7000.1-2023, and the test temperature shall be the temperature measured during the thermal test. Add 35°C;
---The sealing components of the luminaire should be made of silicone rubber, and the temperature measured inside the luminaire should not exceed the specification in Table
12.2 of GB/T 7000.1-2023. Reduce the set limit by 20°C.
7.4.9.2 The following factors are relevant to the lifespan of the luminaire. the plastic material of the luminaire housing and light-transmitting cover, the internal wires exposed to the light source, internal plastic parts, and the components exposed to the light source. For design requirements of rubber materials exposed to sunlight, see Appendix E.
7.4.9.3 For luminaires requiring maintenance, the mating surfaces should use maintainable sealing methods such as sealing rings, and should not use non-maintainable sealing methods. Such as one-time, irreversible glue application.
Note. Lighting fixtures requiring maintenance refer to those whose light source or related components are replaceable, or those whose covers need to be opened for cleaning during their lifespan.
7.5 Applicable Working Conditions
7.5.1 Operating Voltage and Power Supply Frequency LED lights should function normally within 90% to 110% of their rated voltage, as well as within the nominal operating voltage and power frequency range. The light output should not be less than 90% of the rated voltage light output.
7.5.2 Operating ambient temperature The luminaire should be able to operate normally under the following applicable ambient temperatures, with light output not lower than the rated voltage and light output at an ambient temperature of 25°C. 90% of the output. If the ambient temperature of the area where it is used exceeds the following specified range, it should be able to operate normally at the marked limit temperature.
---Extremely cold regions. -55°C to 45°C;
---Cold regions, hot summer and cold winter regions, hot summer and warm winter regions, temperate regions. -40°C~50°C.
Note. For the classification of frigid regions, cold regions, hot-summer-cold-winter regions, hot-summer-warm-winter regions, and temperate regions, please refer to GB 50176.
7.5.3 Maximum relative humidity The luminaire should function properly under the claimed maximum relative humidity conditions.
7.5.4 Altitude The lighting fixtures should function normally in environments with an altitude not exceeding.2000m. If the altitude of the area where they are used exceeds.2000m, It should then be able to function normally at the marked altitude.
7.5.5 Solar Radiation
7.5.5.1 After the plastic lenses or plastic light-transmitting covers used in the luminaires undergo an aging test of 500 hours as specified in GB/T 16422.2, the optical transmittance shall decrease. The reduction should not exceed 10%.
7.5.5.2 After 500 hours of testing according to GB/T 23987, the coating on the outer surface of the luminaire should show no obvious fading, and the coating adhesion should not be low. Level 3.
7.5.6 Salt spray The lighting fixtures should be able to operate normally in salt spray environments. The conformity shall be tested according to the salt spray test specified in GB/T 2423.17, and the test time shall not be less than 24 hours. No damage should occur after the test. Signs of damage, rust, corrosion, or blistering.
7.5.7 Corrosion Resistance When appropriate, the corrosion resistance rating of the luminaire should not be lower than that of the outdoor light corrosion resistant type specified in JB/T 9535.
Note. Such as installation on roads in chemical plant areas.
7.6 Durability
7.6.1 Temperature Cycling LED luminaires shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 5 of GB/T 33721-2026.
7.6.2 Power Switch LED luminaires shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 6 of GB/T 33721-2026.
7.6.3 Accelerate service life LED luminaires shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 7 of GB/T 33721-2026.
7.7 Surge Lighting fixtures using electronic control devices should be able to withstand surges or have surge protection devices. The conformity shall be tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 17626.5, and the surge test level shall not be lower than ±6kV for line-to-line and ±10kV for line-to-ground.
7.8 Dimming Control Lighting fixtures should have the function of adjusting the light output of the fixtures according to road conditions, traffic conditions and the surrounding environment. If the luminaire has a dimming control function, its dimming control function should be able to meet its design requirements.
7.9 Green Requirements Renewable materials should account for no less than 50% of the mass of the luminaire.
7.10 Performance rating of road lighting fixtures
7.10.1 The performance of road lighting fixtures shall be consistent with their claimed performance rating.
7.10.2 The performance rating of LED road lighting fixtures shall meet the requirements of Table
1.The performance rating of other road lighting fixtures shall meet the requirements of Table 2. Require.
8 Test Methods
8.1 General Requirements Unless otherwise specified, the luminaires shall be installed normally according to the manufacturer's instructions and tested in the condition delivered. The luminaires require the following to achieve their function. The components should be installed on the luminaire and tested together, such as the single-lamp controller.
8.2 Marking The markings on the luminaires shall be tested according to the method specified in
3.4 of GB/T 7000.1-2023.The marking content and product information shall be included. Visual inspection is required.
8.3 Electrical Parameters
8.3.1 Input Power The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 31897.1-2025.
8.3.2 Standby Power The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 31897.1-2025.
8.3.3 Power Factor The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 31897.1-2025.
8.4 Optical Performance
8.4.1 Luminaire performance and luminous flux maintenance life The luminaire performance shall be tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9468. The optical transmission lifespan was tested in accordance with GB/T 33721-2026.
8.4.2 Light Output Ratio The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9468.
8.4.3 Initial Luminous Flux The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9468.
8.4.4 Light Intensity Distribution The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9468.
8.4.5 Correlated color temperature, chromaticity coordinates, and color rendering index For luminaires that use light sources other than LEDs, the light source should be tested in accordance with the relevant national standards for light sources. LED luminaires shall be tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 39394.
8.4.6 Energy efficiency evaluation
8.4.6.1 Measure the photometric distribution data of the luminaires and calculate the quality level of road lighting provided by the luminaires. Measure the photometric distribution data of luminaires in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9468. Based on the measured luminous intensity distribution parameters of the luminaires and the luminaire arrangement and applicable road conditions given in the manufacturer's instructions, and according to Appendix D... The calculated average road surface luminance, overall road surface luminance uniformity, longitudinal road surface luminance uniformity, average road surface illuminance, road surface illuminance uniformity, and threshold are... Value increment and environmental ratio.
8.4.6.2 Measure the input power of the luminaire and calculate the lighting power density of the luminaire. The power at the input terminal of the luminaire, measured under the luminous intensity distribution test value at or within the rated voltage range, is expressed in watts (W). Based on the measured luminaire input power and the luminaire arrangement meeting the lighting quality conditions, calculate the luminaire lighting power according to Appendix F. density.
8.5.1 Vibration resistance
8.5.1.1 Vibration Test Parameters Vibration tests on luminaires should be conducted at the fundamental resonant frequency of the luminaire and at the specified acceleration.
a) Determine the vibration test acceleration based on the application environment of the lighting fixtures. The acceleration intensity of lighting fixtures generally used on roads shall be as specified in Table 3; the acceleration intensity of lighting fixtures used on bridges and overpasses shall be as specified in Table 3. The strength shall be determined according to the specifications in Table 4.
b) Finding the resonant frequency The resonant frequency should be found and determined by sweeping the frequency from
8.6 Applicable Working Conditions
8.6.1 Operating Voltage and Power Supply Frequency The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB/T 29295-2012.
8.6.2 Operating ambient temperature The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB/T 29295-2012.
8.6.3 Maximum relative humidity The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2423.3.
8.6.4 Altitude The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2423.21.
8.6.5 Solar Radiation
8.6.5.1 After conducting an aging test on the plastic lens or plastic light-transmitting cover according to GB/T 16422.2, conduct an optical transmission test according to GB/T 9468. Rate decay test.
8.6.5.2 After conducting an aging test on the outer surface coating of the luminaire in accordance with GB/T 23987, a cross-cut test shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 9286.
8.6.6 Salt spray The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2423.17.
8.6.7 Corrosion Resistance The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of JB/T 9535.
8.7 Durability The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 33721-2026.
8.8 Surge The test shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 17626.5.
8.9 Dimming control function Visually inspect whether the lighting fixtures have dimming control functions. If the luminaire has a dimming control function, operate it according to the dimming function to verify whether the dimming function is consistent with the design. Test the luminaire's dimming function. The ratio of luminous flux at minimum light output to luminous flux at maximum light output, this ratio should be within ±3% of the claimed minimum dimming ratio (%). Within the range.
