Scope
GB/T 2441.8-2010 is the English-translated version of 尿素的测定方法 第8部分：硫酸盐含量 目视比浊法.
GB/T 2441.8-2010 is Part 8 of GB/T 2441 and specifies the determination of the sulphate content of industrial used urea by the visible turbidimetric method. Clause 1 makes it applicable to the determination of sulphate content in urea produced by the synthesis of ammonia and carbon dioxide, and states no exclusions.
Clause 2 cites a single document, HG/T 2843, and clause 4 refers back to it for any reagent, solution or water whose specification and preparation method the part does not give.
The principle in clause 3 is that barium chloride solution added into an acidic medium reacts with the sulfate ion and produces white suspension particles of barium sulfate, the turbidity so formed being compared with a standard turbidity.

1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 2441 specifies determination of sulphate content in industrial used urea by visible turbidimetric method.
This Part is applicable to the determination of sulphate content in urea produced by the synthesis of ammonia and carbon dioxide.

3 Principles
Add barium chloride solution into the acidic medium; which reacts with sulfate ion and produces white suspension particles of barium sulfate, the turbidity formed by which shall be compared with the standard turbidity.

When no specification and preparation method are specified for the reagents, solutions and water used in this Part, they shall conform to the provisions of HG/T 2843.
