1 Scope

This standard specifies the bubble point method of woven filter cloth aperture approach.

This standard applies to woven filter cloth.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

2.1

Gas side of the filter cloth through the cloth in water to produce bubbles reach the other side, using this method to calculate the filter cloth aperture.

2.2

When the gas reaches the water through the filter cloth to produce a first string of bubble bubble point pore size.

Note. In theory, the first string of the sample surface bubbles appear when the measured maximum pore size of the bubble point pore size, but in practice, often strings of bubbles out almost simultaneously

Now, more difficult to properly record the first string of the pressure, it is usually recorded pressure occurs three to five strings of bubbles to calculate the maximum aperture.

2.3

Reach a large number of gas through the filter cloth in water, producing a large bubble, the surface of the water was boiling bubble point pore shape when.

Principle 3

Pressurized gas to pass through the pores of the filter cloth, filter cloth in water to reach the other side of the bubble. Different filter cloth pores, bubbles are

Different applied pressure. Pressure generating bubbles calculated by measuring the filter cloth aperture.

4 instruments and equipment 4.1 bubble point pore size filter cloth measuring device is shown in Figure 1.
