Scope
GB/T 24130-2009 is the English-translated version of 柔性包装胶乳 取样.
China's national method for sampling rubber latex supplied in flexible packing. It specifies the sampling of natural and synthetic rubber latex delivered in flexible containers, covering the equipment, the procedure, the sample size and the handling and storage of the samples. Latex is not a liquid in the ordinary sense and that is the whole difficulty of sampling it. It is a colloidal dispersion of rubber particles in water, stabilised by surfactant, and it is unstable by design: the particles are denser than the serum and cream toward the top over time, the material skins where it meets air, it coagulates irreversibly under shear, at low temperature, on contact with certain metals or with a change in pH, and once coagulated nothing returns it. A sample that is not representative is therefore the normal outcome unless the sampling is done properly, and a sample that was representative when drawn can cease to be so on the way to the laboratory. Flexible packing adds its own problem: unlike a tank with a manway, a flexible container cannot be opened, stirred and sampled at several depths, and puncturing it to sample compromises the package. So the standard sets out how it is actually done - the homogenisation of the contents before sampling and how it is verified, the sampling device and its material, since contact with the wrong metal coagulates latex on the spot, the sampling point and the number of increments, the size of the sample, and the immediate transfer to a clean and appropriate container. And it specifies the preservation and storage of the sample, because a latex sample continues to change: it must be kept from freezing, from heat, from air and from shear, and tested within a stated period. This standard specifies the method of sampling the latex flexible packaging. This standard applies to containers of bags (see Appendix A) and other flexible packaging (hereinafter referred to as fluid bags) packaging natural latex, synthetic latex sampling. NOTE. Bottled latex, latex tanker shipping latex and plastic storage tank (pool) in latex samples see GB/T 8290-2008 and SH/T 1149-2006.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1 Prepackaged liquid bag.
2.2 Extracted from a certain number of units in the latex represents a unit.
2.3 A collection of one or more units for inspection and demarcated.
2.4 From each batch of a certain number of cell extract latex mixture.
2.5 For laboratory inspection and testing, and can represent a group of a certain amount of quality latex.
