Scope
GB/T 23841-2009 is the English-translated version of 无机化工产品中镉含量测定的通用方法 原子吸收分光光度法.
GB/T 23841-2009 gives the general method for determining cadmium in inorganic chemicals for industrial use by atomic absorption spectrometry, setting out safety tips, general provisions, the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometric method and the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method.
Clause 1 states that it applies to the determination of cadmium content in inorganic chemical products by those two techniques and gives their minimum detectable concentrations as 0.001 mg/L for the graphite furnace method and 0.02 mg/L for the flame method.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 6682-2008 and the two inorganic chemical products preparation standards HG/T 3696.2, for impurity standard solutions, and HG/T 3696.3.
Clause 3, Safety Tips, warns that the reagents used in the method are toxic or corrosive, that the operator must be careful, and that water splashed on the skin must be flushed at once, with severe cases treated immediately.
Clause 4, General Provisions, sets the grade of reagents and the use of grade II water of GB/T 6682-2008, and sends the preparation of impurity standard solutions and test solutions to HG/T 3696.2 and HG/T 3696.3.
Clause 5 is the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry: in its principle the treated test solution is injected into the graphite furnace, where cadmium compounds dissociate into ground state atomic vapour at high temperature and absorb selectively from the cathode lamp emission lines, the absorbance being proportional to the cadmium content over a given concentration range and quantified against a standard series; its reagent list names a nitrate solution, a 20 g/L ammonium dihydrogen phosphate solution and a cadmium standard solution I containing 0.01 mg of cadmium per millilitre, kept in a refrigerator and valid for one month.
The draft on the page breaks off inside that reagent list, so the flame method is known only from the scope, and the foreword records one informative annex, Appendix A, and one normative annex, Appendix B, without their titles.
The standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and is handled by the inorganic chemicals subcommittee of the national chemical standardization technical committee (SAC/TC63/SC1).
The foreword states that the standard is the first release, so it replaces nothing; it was issued on 2009-05-18 and has applied since 2010-02-01.

The standard proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee chemical inorganic chemicals Club (SAC/TC63/SC1) centralized.
This standard is the first release.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the general method of inorganic chemical products Determination of cadmium atomic absorption spectrophotometry safety tips, general provisions, Graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry and flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
This standard applies to graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry and flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry inorganic chemical products containing cadmium the amount. Graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry The minimum detectable concentration of 0.001mg/L. Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry minimum inspection The concentration of 0.02mg/L.

3 Safety Tips
Reagents used in this test method are toxic or corrosive, the operator must be careful! Such as water splashed on the skin should immediately Flushing, severe cases should be treated immediately.
4 General Provisions
This standard reagents and water, did not indicate when the other requirements, refer to gifted class pure reagents and GB/T 6682-2008 regulations II Grade water.
Impurity standard solutions, test preparation and products required, in the absence of other requirements specified according to HG/T 3696.2, HG/T 3696.3 Provisions prepared.
5 Graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry
5.1 Principle
The treated sample test solution injected into the graphite furnace atomic stage at a high temperature of cadmium compounds dissociate into the ground state atomic vapor, and air Heart cathode lamp emission characteristic lines produce selective absorption. Under optimum conditions selected, the determination of cadmium in the test solution absorbance. In a Given concentration range, the absorption is proportional to the value of the cadmium content, compared with standard series quantitation.
5.2 Reagents
5.2.1 nitrate solution. 1 + 5.
5.2.2 ammonium dihydrogen phosphate solution. 20g/L.
5.2.3 Cadmium standard solution I. 1mL solution containing cadmium (Cd) 0.01mg; Pipette Pipette 1.00mL cadmium standard solution according to HG/T 3696.2 prepared, placed in 100mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to Mark and shake. Placed inside the refrigerator, valid for one month.
