5.2 Publication of Quarantine Pests in Forestry and Grassland

5.2.1 The national forestry and grassland quarantine pest epidemic situation shall be announced by the national forestry and grassland administrative department.

5.2.2 Supplementary forestry and grassland quarantine pest outbreaks reported by provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) shall be handled by the provincial (autonomous region, municipality) forestry and grassland authorities. 5.2.3 The information released regarding the epidemic should include.

a) Names of quarantine pests, including their Chinese and Latin scientific names;

5.2.4 Where the national forestry and grassland administrative department has special provisions, those provisions shall apply.

6.The epidemic is lifted

6.1 Conditions for rescission

6.1.1 If quarantine pests have been eradicated from the distribution area through effective means, and no outbreak has been detected within the specified time, an application may be made. The area has been lifted from quarantine.

6.1.2 The lifting of the epidemic control measures should meet one of the following conditions.

---There are no host plants for this quarantine pest within its distribution area;

---No quarantine pest has been found in the epidemic monitoring surveys conducted in this distribution area for two or more consecutive years.

6.2 Deactivation Procedure

6.2.1 If an agricultural plant disease has been eradicated, the plant quarantine agency at or above the county level shall apply for the lifting of the quarantine order in accordance with 4.1.2.2.
