Scope
GB/T 23267-2009 is the English-translated version of 摩托艇器材使用规范.
GB/T 23267-2009 sets the rules for using a motorboat in sport and leisure in China. It gives the terms and definitions, the equipment the craft must carry, the environmental conditions in which it may be used, the navigation area allowed, the requirements on the driver and the markings the craft must bear.
It applies to jet skis, racing boats, sports boats and similar water sports craft used for competition and leisure. Clubs, event organisers and the authorities that supervise water sports use it. Issued on 6 February 2009, it has applied since 1 July 2009.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions motorboat equipment, environmental requirements, navigation range, the driver and marking requirements.
This standard applies to engage in competition, leisure activities such as jet skiing, boat race and sports boats and other transportation means with mechanical propulsion Similar properties of water sports equipment.

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
Competition boats and jet-skis on equipment should comply with the relevant Chinese motorboat motorboat Sports Association and the International Federation of Competitive Rules Provisions.
4.2 Basic requirements
4.2.1 hull neat appearance, solid connections, no leakage.
4.2.2 boat bow with a solid traction device.
4.3 Safety Equipment
4.3.1 buoyancy and stability shall comply with the relevant classification societies norms.
