1 Scope

GB/T 22261-2025 is the Chinese national standard on determination of virginiamycin in feeds, in the field of agriculture. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. This document describes a method for the determination of virginiamycin in feed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and high performance liquid chromatography. This document applies to the use of virginiana in compound feeds, concentrated feeds, concentrate supplements, additive premixes and mixed feed additives. 4 Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry
