1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determination of the viscosity of the liquid dye.
This standard applies to the determination of the viscosity of the liquid dye.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
It is the internal friction of the fluid, and the other layer is a layer of fluid flow relative movement of resistance. Expressed in Pa · s.
3 instruments and equipment
3.1
rotational viscometer; measurement error is less than ± 0.5%;
3.2 Super bath
temperature fluctuation range of not more than ± 0.5 °C;
3.3 Thermometer
indexing 0.1 °C;
3.4 Container
Select the appropriate container according to the requirements of the instrument.
4 Test Procedure
4.1
Depending on the size of the sample viscosity, and select the appropriate rotor speed.
4.2
The vertical rotor immersed in the sample center, so that the liquid level marking to the rotor.
4.3
The test sample container and the rotor thermostat to 25 °C ± 0.5 °C, and maintain the sample temperature uniformity.
4.4
Starting viscometer, when the rotational viscometer stable, the readings are recorded.
4.5
Two parallel test results shall be less than or equal to 2% of the arithmetic average of the test results.
5 Test Report
The test report includes the following.
a) the name of the measured liquid dye;
b) number of this standard;
c) Test conditions;
Name d) the use of the instrument, model;
e) test results;
f) during the test of exceptional circumstances;
g) difference between the present method;
h) date of the test.
