b) The definition of "health data card" has been changed (see 3.3,.2008 version 3.3);

c) Added abbreviations (see Chapter 4);

1 Scope

GB/T 21715.1-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the data structure of a patient health card - the identification, the card's own administrative data and the framework into which the clinical parts fit. Part 1 of the series. It replaces GB/T 21715.1-2008, revised together with Part 3. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 21715.1-2008. This document specifies the overall structure of different types of data defined using the UML markup language in patient health card data. The structure is stored in a card that conforms to the physical dimensions of ID-1 cards specified in GB/T 14916. This document applies to the design and planning of patient health cards.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 data object A collection of data that is naturally grouped and can be identified as a complete entity.

3.2 health data card Machine-readable cards for use in the healthcare field that comply with GB/T 16649 (all parts).

3.3 Patient health card A health data card containing data related to the health of a unique person (3.5).

Note. "Patient" does not indicate that the person recording the care is currently the recipient of care.

3.4 Record The collection of data collected.
