Scope
GB/T 21244-2007 is the English-translated version of 纸芯.
GB/T 21244-2007 is the national standard for paper cores, the core tubes on which webs of paper and paperboard are wound; the draft's own heading transliterates the subject as zhixin.
Clause 1 states that it specifies the dimensions, the requirements, the test methods, the sampling, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of paper cores, and that it applies to core tubes for webs of paper and paperboard.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 462, GB/T 2828.1 and GB/T 4857.4. Of clause 3, Dimensions, the draft prints only 3.2, which leaves the sizes of the paper core to the user's requirements as fixed in the contract.
Clause 4, Requirements, makes dimensional deviations follow Table 1, which gives tolerances in size bands for the outer diameter and for the length and for one further dimension whose label the draft's table does not print; it limits the moisture of paper cores on delivery to 12 %; and it sets the flat crush strength, that is the radial crushing strength, at not less than 2 200 N/100 mm for cores used with thin paper of 80 g/m2 or less and at not less than 1 200 N/100 mm for other cores, while allowing the flat crush strength test to be omitted where the core wall is thinner than 5 mm.
The draft breaks off in the middle of the following sentence of 4.3, so the test methods, the sampling and the packaging clauses announced in clause 1 cannot be reported.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the paper core sizes, requirements, test methods, sampling, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to the web of paper and paperboard core tube.
