GB/T 21203-2018 (Information technology -- Office equipment -- Method for measuring digital copying productivity) is available as an English-translated PDF.

GB/T 21203-2018 — This standard specifies the measurement method for copying "productivity" of digital copying equipment and multi-function equipment in different copying modes. This standard applies to digital copying equipment and multifunction equipment with automatic document feeder and collate copying. This standard is used for any base Black and white and color digital copying equipment and multi-function devices for imaging technology, allowing the device to be used in a variety of available copy modes [single-sided, Duplex, media size, 2 in 1 (2 A4 combined into 1 A4 or A3), etc. and various available digital image processing configurations for copy speed Comparison. This standard contains test files, test setup procedures, test procedures, and test report requirements for digital copy productivity measurements. This standard does not apply to copying on A4 or 215.9mm x 279.4mm (8.5''x11'') media size, without automatic feed (ADF) or a device that cannot be copied one by one. This standard does not apply to the manufacturer's rated speed.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 21203-2007 "Measurement method for effective copying rate of copying machine for information technology office equipment". versus

Compared with GB/T 21203-2007, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Revised the standard applicable object (see Chapter 1 and Chapter 1 of the.2007 edition);

--- This standard adds a beta version (see 4.6);

---Modified test methods (see Chapter 5 and Chapter 4 of the.2007 edition);

--- Modified the calculation and processing of data (see Chapter 5 and Chapter 5 of the.2007 edition);

--- Revised the expression of the results (see Chapter 7 and Chapter 6 of the.2007 edition).

This standard uses the translation method equivalent to ISO /IEC 24735.2012 "Information Technology Office Equipment Digital Copier Copy Production

Method of measurement of force.

The documents of our country that have a consistent correspondence with the international documents referenced in this standard are as follows.

---GB/T 451.2-2002 Determination of the quantitative determination of paper and board (ISO 536.1995, eqv).

This standard was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation.

This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Copy Machinery Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC147).

This standard was drafted. Zhuhai Tianwei Pegasus Printing Consumables Co., Ltd., Tianjin Copy Technology Research Institute, Canon (China) Co., Ltd.,

Introduction

Many digital copying devices are in different copy modes (single-sided, double-sided, copy quality mode), different amounts of media, and different copy-by-copy

The copy speed is different from the nominal speed when and/or the print finishing option. The degree of productivity reduction depends mainly on the experience of the work flow.

Other parameters. The main parameters of the job stream are. the number of pages of the original file to be copied, the output page is single-sided or double-sided, and the selected image quality.

Mode, black and white, and color copy job streams, number of copies to copy, media size used, length of run time, and print ordering options. This standard

The previous version only dealt with the productivity issues of optical lens black and white (analog) copiers, and did not put digital copying machines on these important machines.

Important factors related to homework are taken into account.

Digital copying machine copying productivity measurement method

1 Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method for copying "productivity" of digital copying equipment and multi-function equipment in different copying modes.

This standard applies to digital copying equipment and multifunction equipment with automatic document feeder and collate copying. This standard is used for any base

Black and white and color digital copying equipment and multi-function devices for imaging technology, allowing the device to be used in a variety of available copy modes [single-sided,

Duplex, media size, 2 in 1 (2 A4 combined into 1 A4 or A3), etc. and various available digital image processing configurations for copy speed

Comparison. This standard contains test files, test setup procedures, test procedures, and test report requirements for digital copy productivity measurements.

This standard does not apply to copying on A4 or 215.9mm x 279.4mm (8.5''x11'') media size, without automatic feed

(ADF) or a device that cannot be copied one by one.

This standard does not apply to the manufacturer's rated speed.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Double-sided copying duplexcopying

Copying on both sides of the paper with a copying machine when copying multiple pages.

Note. The synonym is "two-sided copying", called 1.2 mode or 2.2 mode.

3.2

Effective speed effectivethroughput; EFTP

The last page from the start of the job to the last set of test samples completely outputs the average speed of the measured device-generated pages.

Note. The number of images used for EFTP is expressed in minutes (ipm). EFTP is not only affected by the running time of the beta, but also by the digital processing time of the beta.

influences.

3.3

Estimating saturation speed estimatedataturatedthroughput; ESAT

The last page from the first set of test samples is completely output to the last page of the last set. The measured output is completely output.

The speed of the page.

Note. ESAT uses the number of images per minute (ipm).
