3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Double-sided copying
Copying on both sides of the paper with a copying machine when copying multiple pages.
Note. The synonym is “two-sided copying”, called 1.2 mode or 2.2 mode.
3.2 Effective speed effectivethroughput; EFTP
The last page from the start of the job to the last set of test samples completely outputs the average speed of the measured device-generated pages.
Note. The number of images used for EFTP is expressed in minutes (ipm). EFTP is not only affected by the running time of the beta, but also by the digital processing time of the beta.
