Scope
GB/T 21144-2023 is the English-translated version of 混凝土实心砖.
GB/T 21144-2023 covers solid concrete bricks, code SCB, made from cement and aggregate with admixtures added as needed, mixed with water, shaped and cured.
It sets the specifications, grades and marks, the raw materials, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the transport and storage provisions and the product certificate.
Strength grades MU7.5 and MU10 are added, recycled aggregate is admitted among the brick-making raw materials, and requirements are given for dimensional tolerance and appearance quality, density grade, water absorption, mass loss and strength loss after freezing and radionuclide limits, each with its test method.
It applies to the design, production, testing and use of solid concrete bricks in buildings and structures. It replaces GB/T 21144-2007, was issued on 17 March 2023 and has applied since 1 October 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 21144-2007 "Concrete Solid Brick". Compared with GB/T 21144-2007, except for structural adjustment and editing in addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Added two strength grades of MU7.5 and MU10 (see 4.3);
b) Changed the scope of brick-making raw materials and added recycled aggregate (see 5.2, 5.3, 5.2, 5.3 of the 2007 edition);
c) The number of missing edges and corners has been increased (see 6.2);
d) Changed the index requirements for density grades (see 6.3, 6.3 of the 2007 edition);
e) Change "maximum water absorption rate" to "water absorption rate" (see 6.5, 6.5 of the 2007 edition);
f) The requirements for mass loss rate and strength loss rate after freezing have been changed, and the basis for division of areas of use has been added (see 6.7, 6.7 of the 2007 edition);
g) Increased product radionuclide limit requirements and test methods (see 6.10, 7.9);
h) The test methods for dimensional tolerances and appearance quality, compressive strength, carbonation coefficient, softening coefficient, and compressive strength after freezing have been changed (See 7.1, 7.3, 7.6~7.8, 7.1, 7.3, 7.6~7.8 of the 2007 edition);
i) Deleted Appendices A~Appendix C (see Appendices A~Appendix C of the 2007 edition).
