---The requirement that the phase wire bushing shall be locked is added (see 14.4);

---The requirements for flexible cord fixing parts of the adaptors with cable outlet are

added (see 14.11);

---The requirements for additional torque test are modified; a description of the axis at 8

mm (for the socket-outlet described in Figure 2 of GB/T 1002-2021) or 10 mm (for the

socket-outlet described in Figure 4 of GB/T 1002-2021) from the back of the socket-

outlet mating surface is added (see 14.23);

---14.104 and 14.105 of GB/T 2099.3-2015 are modified into 14.103 and 14.104 of this

document (see 14.103 and 14.104; 14.104 and 14.105 of Version 2015);

---The requirement that the fused adaptors shall also comply with GB/T 9364.2 and GB/T

9364.3 is added (see 14.104);

---The requirements for the appearance of the adaptors are added (see 14.105);

---The requirements for the plug plugged into the socket-outlet part of the adaptors are

added (see 14.106);

---In accordance with Chinese socket-outlet construction applied to the adaptors in China,

and the adjustment of GB/T 1002-2021, the requirements for the rated current of the

socket-outlet part in 14.106 are added, and the requirements for the shutter in 14.106

are modified (see 14.107; 14.106 of Version 2015);

---The requirements for the aging resistance of the adaptors are modified (see 16.1; Chapter

17.1.1 of Version 2015);

---The single-phase two-pole additional torque plug gauge and single-phase two-pole

grounded additional torque plug gauge are added (see Figure 101 and Figure 102);

---Appendix A "Routine Safety-related Tests (protection against electric shock and correct

polarity) for Mobile Electrical Accessories with Wires as Delivered" is added (see

Appendix A);

This document modifies and adopts IEC 60884-2-5.2017 Plugs and Socket-outlets for

Household and Similar Purposes - Part 2-5.Particular Requirements for Adaptors.

In comparison with IEC 60884-2-5.2017, this document makes the following structural

adjustments.

---12.1.2 corresponds to 12.1.1 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017;

---17.2.2 and 17.2.3 correspond to 17.1.1 and 17.1.2 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017;

---22.1 ~ 22.3 correspond to the suspended section, 22.1 and 22.2 of Chapter 22 in IEC

60884-2-5.2017;

---24.3 corresponds to 24.2 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017; 24.8 corresponds to 24.7 in IEC

60884-2-5.2017; 24.9 corresponds to 24.8 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017; 24.11 corresponds

to 24.10 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017; 24.20 corresponds to 24.19 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017.

The technical differences between this document and IEC 60884-2-5.2017, and the causes for

these differences are as follows.

---"This document specifies the technical requirements for the ratings, markings,

protection against electric shock, construction, electrical properties and mechanical

properties, etc. of the adaptors" is added, so as to comply with the requirements of GB/T

1.1 (see Chapter 1);

---The Standard that appliance couplers shall comply with is modified, the modified and

adopted GB/T 17465 (all parts) is used to replace IEC 60320 (all parts), so as to adapt

to the technical conditions of China (see Chapter 1);

---The normative reference GB/T 9364.2 is used to replace IEC 60127-2, so as to adapt to

the technical conditions of China and enhance the operability (see 14.104);

---The normative reference GB/T 9364.3 is used to replace IEC 60127-3, so as to adapt to

the technical conditions of China and enhance the operability (see 14.104);

---The normative reference GB/T 13539.3 is used to replace IEC 60269-3, so as to adapt

to the technical conditions of China and enhance the operability (see 14.104);

---The requirement that the travel adaptors are not allowed to charge electric vehicles and

electric bicycles is added, so as to adapt to the technical conditions of China (see

Chapter 4);

---The warning words regarding the rated power of the multi-way adaptors are added, so

as to adapt to the technical conditions of China (see 8.1);

---The symbols used for phase lines are added, so as to facilitate the understanding and

operability of this Standard (see 8.2);

---The requirements for dimensional inspection of the adaptors are modified, so as to adapt

to the plug and socket-outlet type dimensions and technical conditions of China (see

Chapter 9 and Chapter 14);

---The inspection requirements for "partially mated" adaptors are deleted, so as to adapt to

the characteristics of Chinese flat plug pin system (see 10.1);

---The requirements for the combination jack of the adaptors with a shutter when one plug

is plugged-in and the remaining jacks are not plugged-in are added, so as to adapt to

the technical conditions of China (see 10.5);

---The requirements for the additional torque test are modified, so as to adapt to the

characteristics of Chinese flat plug pin system and enhance the operability (see 14.23);

---The structural requirements for the measures of protecting against electric shock of the

adaptors are added, so as to adapt to the technical conditions of China (see 14.107);

---The content of Paragraph 6 and the content of the preceding paragraph of NOTE 3 of

Chapter 21 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017 are deleted, so as to comply with Chinese plug

construction, and adapt to the technical conditions of China (see Chapter 20 and

Chapter 21);

---The thickness of the gauge pin is modified, so as to comply with the characteristics of

Chinese flat pin system, and adapt to the technical conditions of China (see 22.1;

Chapter 22 of IEC 60884-2-5.2017);

---The single-phase two-pole additional torque plug gauge and single-phase two-pole

grounded additional torque plug gauge are added, so as to enhance the operability (see

Figure 101 and Figure 102);

---The requirements for needle flame test are added, so as to comply with the practical

application of adaptors in China and adapt to the technical conditions of China (see

Chapter 28; Appendix F);

---The requirement that the socket-outlet part of adaptors mated by foreign plugs shall

comply with IEC TR 60083 is added, so as to provide operability (see 9.3 of Appendix

AA);

---14.105 in IEC 60884-2-5.2017 is moved to Appendix AA, as 14.108 of Appendix AA

(see 14.108 of Appendix AA).

This document also makes the following editorial modifications.

---Some notes in IEC 60884-2-5.2017 that are applicable to other countries and regions

are deleted, such as. NOTE 1, NOTE 2, NOTE 3, NOTE 4, NOTE 5, NOTE of 10.1,

NOTE 2 and NOTE 3 of 14.1, NOTE of 14.23, NOTE of 14.107 and NOTE of Chapter

22, etc.;

---The informative reference GB/T 156 is used to replace IEC 60038 (see 6.101);

---The informative reference GB/T 5465.1-2009 is used to replace IEC 60417.2002 (see

8.1).
