1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of bentonite, packaging, transportation and

Storage.

This standard applies to foundry, metallurgical pellets, drilling mud and bentonite for civil engineering.

This standard does not apply to processed products that have undergone changes in the structure of bentonite by treatment with inorganic acids or organic substances.
