Scope

GB/T 20370-2021 is the English-translated version of 酶制剂分类导则.

GB/T 20370-2021 is the Chinese guideline for classifying enzyme preparations. It gives the terms and definitions and then the classification and the naming of the products: the enzyme itself, the source from which it is produced, the form in which it is sold and the field in which it is used.

It applies to the enzyme preparation industry, so that a product is named the same way by its maker, its buyer and the authority that registers it. Enzyme producers, food and detergent works and regulators use it.

It replaces GB/T 20370-2006, was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 20370-2006 "Guidelines for the Classification of Biocatalyst Enzyme Preparations". Compared with GB/T 20370-2006, the main The main technical changes are as follows.

---Changed the standard name;

--- Changed the scope of application of the standard (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2006 edition);

---The normative references have been changed (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the 2006 edition);

---Changed the terms and definitions of "enzyme preparation", "low temperature enzyme", "medium temperature enzyme", "high temperature enzyme", "acid enzyme", "neutral enzyme" and "alkaline enzyme" (see 3.3, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12, the 2006 version of 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 and 3.10);

---Added the terms and definitions of "ribozyme", "intracellular enzyme", "extracellular enzyme", "enzyme activity" and "enzyme activity unit" (see 3.2, 3.13, 3.14, 3.15 And 3.16);

---The terms and definitions of "normal temperature enzymes", "enzyme preparations for food industry", "enzyme preparations for feed industry" and "enzyme preparations for other industries" have been deleted (See the 2006 version of 3.5, 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13);

--- Added "Classification by dosage form" (see 4.3);

---Changed "Classification by enzyme preparation use" and "Classification by enzyme substrate" (see 4.4 and 4.6, 4.1 and 4.4 in the 2006 edition);

---Changed the "naming and numbering" (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the 2006 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming of enzyme preparation products.

This document is applicable to the enzyme preparation industry.

2 Normative references

There are no normative references in this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Enzyme

A biocatalyst produced by living cells that catalyzes specific biochemical reactions.

3.2 Ribozyme

Ribonucleic Acid (Ribonucleic Acid, abbreviated as RNA) molecule with catalytic function.

3.3 Enzyme preparation

Biological products with catalytic activity after separation, extraction and processing.

Note: Enzyme preparations contain formula ingredients that are easy to store and use.

3.4 Singleenzymepreparations

An enzyme preparation with a single system name and a specific catalytic effect.

3.5 Compound enzyme preparations

Enzyme preparation containing two or more single enzymes.

Note: It can be produced by a single microorganism fermentation, or it can be compounded by a single enzyme preparation.

3.6 Substrate

The substance that the enzyme catalyzes the reaction.

3.7 Low temperature enzyme

The most suitable enzyme to catalyze the reaction temperature is less than 30°C.
