3.1 Filter than filterratio

The ratio of the number of contaminant particles in a unit size greater than a given size [X (c)] is expressed in betaX (c), see

Nu --- filter felt upstream oil volume per unit volume greater than X microns;

Nd - the number of particles in the unit volume of the downstream oil of the filter felt greater than X microns.

Note 1. betaX (c) indicates the filtration capacity of the filter felt for particles larger than the size of X.

Note 2. The lower scale "(c)" of betaX (c) indicates that betaX is measured and calculated using an automatic particle counter calibrated in accordance with ISO /IEC 15854. Without the next footer, table

The betaX is measured and calculated using a particle counting device calibrated by other methods.

3.2 Filtering accuracy

When the filter ratio of the filter felt betaX (c) >= 20, the corresponding particle size [X (c)] value for the filter felt filter accuracy.

3.3 Permeability

At a pressure gradient, the unit time gas passes through the volume value of the felt per unit area.

3.4 Bubble point pressure

The minimum pressure required to pass the gas through the first bubble produced by the liquid impregnated filter felt.
