Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 19935-2005 "Geometric parameters of worm gears - Nameplate, center distance, user-supplied Compared with GB/T 19935-2005, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope of application has been changed, and the maximum center distance has been changed from "500mm" to "1000mm" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2005 edition);

b) Added a chapter on “Terms and Definitions” (see Chapter 3);

c) Added some center distance parameters (see Table 1);

d) The information given on the nameplate has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 2 of the 2005 edition);

e) The requirements for variable load calculation have been changed (see Figure 1, Figure 1 of the 2005 edition);

f) The requirement that users should indicate all machined bearing dimensions has been deleted (see 4.2.2 of the 2005 edition);

g) The marking of some dimensions in the overall dimensions has been deleted (see Figure 2 of the 2005 edition).

Worm gear nameplate, center distance, Parameters provided by the user to the manufacturer

1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements for worm gear nameplates, gives recommended values for center distances, parameters to be provided by the user to the manufacturer and Require.

This document applies to the design and manufacture of closed worm gear transmissions with a center distance not exceeding 1000mm.

This document does not provide parameters such as center height, module and worm diameter coefficient, shaft end structure and size, etc.

The user and the manufacturer negotiate and agree upon this.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 3374.2 apply to this document.

4 Nameplate

One or two permanent nameplates should be fixed in a prominent and stable position on all worm gear devices.

The information given on the nameplate should include the following.

— Name or logo of manufacturer or supplier;

— Model (indicating transmission type, product series, etc.);

— Center distance (mm);

— Speed ratio;

— Rated input/output speed (r/min);

— Rated power (kW);

— Maximum instantaneous output torque (N-m);

— Mass (kg);

— Recommended lubricant type and oil quantity;

— Factory number and date of manufacture.

5 Center distance

The recommended values of the center distance series of worm gears are shown in Table 1.
