Scope

GB/T 19743-2018 is the English-translated version of 粉末冶金用水雾化纯铁粉、合金钢粉.

GB/T 19743-2018 is the Chinese product standard for pure iron powder and alloyed steel powder made by water atomization for powder metallurgy. It specifies the classification, grades, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, together with packaging, marking, transport, storage and the quality certificate.

Compared with the 2005 edition it adds free-cutting steel powder to the classification, changes the grade designations, raises the number of grades from 6 to 12, and revises chemical composition, physical and process properties, batch rules and packaging.

The tests draw on the GB/T 223 chemical analysis methods and on the metal powder methods for apparent density, sieve analysis, compressibility, flow rate and oxygen content.

It applies to powders produced by the water atomization method. It replaces GB/T 19743-2005, was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 June 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 19743-2005 "Powder metallurgy water atomized pure iron powder, alloy steel powder". This standard and GB/T 19743- Compared with.2005, the main technical content changes are as follows.

--- Product classification has increased free-cutting steel powder (see 3.2);

--- Modified some of the brand representation methods (see 3.2, 3.2 of the 2005 edition);

--- Increased some grades from 6 to 12 of the original standard (see 3.3, 3.3 of the 2005 edition);

--- Revised the chemical composition of some brands (see 4.1, 4.1 of 2005);

--- Revised the physical-process performance of some grades (see 4.2, 4.2 of the 2005 edition);

---Modified the batch rule (see 6.2, 6.2 of the 2005 edition);

---Modified the packaging method of the product (see 7.1, 7.1 of 2005 edition);

--- Increased transportation regulations for products (see 7.3);

--- Increased product storage regulations (see 7.4).
