Introduction
GB/T 19518 "Resistance Heat Tracing for Explosive Atmospheres" aims to establish the basic requirements for resistance heat tracing equipment used in explosive atmospheres.
These requirements and their application rules are in the form of a partial standard, including the following parts.
---Part 1: General and Test Requirements. The purpose is to establish the general requirements and test requirements for resistance heat tracing devices used in explosive atmospheres.
method.
---Part 2: Design, Installation, and Maintenance Application Guidelines. The purpose is to establish guidelines for the design and installation of resistance heat tracing systems in explosive atmospheres.
Rules for maintaining applications.
Electric heat tracing systems are widely used in explosive hazardous locations in industries such as petroleum and chemical manufacturing. Regarding the standardization of such equipment, my country...
In.2004, the IEC 62086 series was adopted to establish general requirements and test methods for electric heat tracing in explosive gas atmospheres.
GB 19518.1-2004 and GB/T 19518.2-2004 concerning the design, installation and maintenance of electric heat tracing, were subsequently adopted in 2017.
The IEC 60079-30 series has been revised. Since the 2017 edition of the standard was released and implemented, there have been some new developments in the design and testing technologies of electric heat tracing systems.
The exhibition has also raised new requirements for its application. Regarding international standards, the current versions of the relevant standards are IEC/IEEE 60079-30-1.2015 and...
IEC/IEEE 60079-30-2.2015, its main technical content is applicable to my country's situation. To adapt to the development of explosion-proof technology and industry, and to align with international standards...
To align with development, the GB/T 19518 series needs to be revised.
This revision of the document adopts IEC/IEEE 60079-30-2.2015 "Explosive atmospheres – Part 30-2.Resistance heat tracing".
Based on the main technical content of the "Design, Installation and Maintenance Application Guidelines", appropriate modifications have been made to suit my country's situation.

4 Usage conditions
4.1 General Rules
This document is a supplement to the requirements of GB 3836.15, GB 3836.16 and GB/T 19518.1.
If the heat tracing system is installed in an explosive atmosphere, a detailed classification of the hazardous location should be specified. This specification should state the required equipment protection level.
Differentiate Gb/Gc/Db/Dc (corresponding to Zone 1/Zone 2/Zone 21/Zone 22 respectively), gas or dust classification, and temperature group. Under special conditions...
If the operating conditions or on-site conditions may be particularly harsh, then these conditions should be specified in the technical specifications of the heat tracing equipment.
If the heat tracing system is installed on mobile equipment or a skid (e.g., a repositionable structure), the system should be designed to accommodate it.
Potential disadvantages.
If certain components of the heat tracing system may be exposed to the environment, then those components should be suitable for such environments.
4.2 Corrosive Areas
All components of the electric heat tracing system should be inspected to verify their durability against any corrosive materials they may encounter during the system's service life.
