GB/T 18978.210-2024 — This document provides requirements for human-centered design principles and activities through the full life cycle design of computer-based interactive systems.

This document is intended primarily for use by those who manage the design process and focuses on improving the performance of hardware and software components of interacting systems.

Methods for human-system interactivity. Note. Computer-based interactive systems vary in size and complexity.

Examples. finished (shrink-wrapped) software products, customs office systems,, process control systems, automated banking systems, websites and applications, as well as consumer products such as vending machines, mobile phones and digital televisions.

In this document, these systems are collectively referred to as products, systems, or services, but for convenience, only one of these terms is sometimes used. This document provides an overview of human-centered design activities.

It does not describe in detail the methods and techniques required for human-centered design, nor does it describe the the relevant health and safety issues are not addressed in detail.

While this document addresses the planning and management of human-centred design, it does not cover project all aspects of management. Because this document is intended primarily for use by those responsible for planning and managing interactive system design and development projects, it is limited to the essentials.

It is important to discuss technical issues of human factors and ergonomics in some depth so that these individuals can understand their relevance and importance in the overall design process.

This document also provides a framework for human factors and usability professionals involved in human-centered design. Other parts of ISO 9241 Many international standards, such as ISO 6385 and ISO 6385, provide more detailed information on human factors/ergonomics, usability and accessibility.

A detailed introduction explains the basic principles of ergonomics. The requirements and recommendations given in this document are helpful to all parties involved in human-centered design and development.

Appendix B provides a an evaluation checklist that can be used to claim compliance with this document.

--Changed the human-centered design principle (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the 2003 edition);

-- Changed the role of iteration in the entire design process (not just evaluation) (see 5.5, 5.4 of the 2003 edition);

--Added a human-centered approach that can be used throughout the life cycle of the system (see 6.1, 6.5);

--Changed the design activities (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the 2003 edition);

-- Changed Figure 1 (see 7.1, 7.1 of the 2003 edition) to facilitate classification;

--Added accessibility related content (see 7.1).

This document is equivalent to ISO 9241-210:2019 Ergonomics of human-system interaction Part 210: Human-centered interactive systems design".

Introduction

GB/T 18978 ergonomics national standards correspond to ISO 9241 international standards and originally consisted of 17 parts.

This series of standards provides the ergonomic requirements for office work using visual display terminals. During the review of international standards, the ISO 9241 series of international standards the standard has been significantly revised to expand its scope, incorporate other relevant standards and make it more user-friendly. The general title of ISO 9241 is "Human-Systems the general title and scope of ISO 9241 and ISO/TC 159/SC 4 remain the same.

After the adjustment, the series of standards composed of multiple parts are numbered with "hundred", among which the 100 series is the software interface, the.200 series is Human-centered design, 300 series involves visual displays, 400 series involves physical input devices, etc. Others not included in the "Hundred" series the ISO 9241 series of standards still use the old numbering. For example, national standards that are equivalent to ISO 9241-11:2018 still use the old numbering.

GB/T 18978.11.

Corresponding to the ISO 9241 series of standards, the GB/T 18978 "Hundred" series of standards is planned to consist of the following series.

--100 Series. Software Ergonomics. The purpose is to identify processes and methods related to software ergonomics.

--200 Series. Human-Centered Design. The goal is to provide a human-centered design principle and Activities provide requirements and suggestions.

--300 Series. Displays and Display-Related Hardware. The purpose is to provide methods for the ergonomic design and evaluation of visual displays.

laws, compliance measures and guidelines.

--400 Series. Physical Input Devices. The purpose is to provide ergonomic design criteria, selection procedures, and testing for input and output devices.

and assessment methods.

--500 Series. Workspace. The purpose is to provide ergonomic principles and methods for the design of interactive system space environments.

--600 Series. Environmental Ergonomics. The purpose is to provide environmental ergonomics requirements and the impact of the environment on people.

--700 Series. Control Rooms. The purpose is to provide requirements, recommendations and guidance for the ergonomic design and assessment of control room spaces.

--900 Series. Haptics and Tactile Interactions. The purpose is to provide guidance for the design and evaluation of haptic and tactile ergonomic interactions.

Human-centered design is an approach to the development of interactive systems that aims to apply human factors/human the knowledge and methods of ergonomics and usability make systems usable and useful. This approach increases effectiveness and efficiency and improves human well-being.

well-being, user satisfaction, accessibility and sustainability, and reduce the potential negative impacts on human health, safety and performance during use.

There is a wealth of knowledge in human factors/ergonomics and usability on how to effectively organize and apply human-centered design.

This document is intended to provide this information to help those responsible for managing the hardware and software design and upgrade processes identify and plan timely and effective human-based Design activities for the center.

The human-centered design approach described in this document is a complement to existing system design methods.

methodologies, such as object-oriented, waterfall, and rapid application development.

Since ISO 13407 was developed and has been used for ten years, human-centered design principles and related activities have not been substantially improved.

This document reflects this by providing requirements and recommendations.
