This document replaces GB/T 18978.11-2004 "Ergonomic Requirements for Office Use of Visual Display Terminals (VDTs) - Part 11"

"Usability Guidelines", compared with GB/T 18978.11-2004, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope of application of "availability" is expanded to include systems and services, and other parts of the ISO 9241 series of standards (including

ISO 9241-210), ISO 26800 and ISO 20282 are consistent (see 3.1.1, 3.1 of the.2004 version);

b) considers broader goals, including results for individuals and results for the organization;

c) Changed the definition of "efficiency" (see 3.1.13, 3.3 of the.2004 version);

d) Changed the definition of "satisfaction" (see 3.1.14, 3.4 of the.2004 version).

This document is equivalent to ISO 9241-11.2018 "Ergonomics of Human-System Interaction Part 11.Usability. Definitions and Concepts".

Introduction

The GB/T 18978 ergonomics series of national standards corresponds to the ISO 9241 series of international standards. It was initially composed of 17 parts.

This series of standards provides ergonomic requirements for using visual display terminals for office work. During the review of international standards, the ISO 9241 series

Significant adjustments have been made to expand the scope and include other relevant standards, making it easier to use. The overall title of ISO 9241 is "People-System Interaction".
