1 Scope

GB/T 18916.4-2022 is the Chinese national standard on norm of water intake - part 4: dyeing and finishing of textile industrial product, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 11 July 2022 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 November 2022. Classification: ICS 13.060.25, CCS P41. This document specifies the calculation method, water intake quota and quota management requirements for textile dyeing and finishing products. This document is applicable to the management of the water intake of existing, newly-built, renovated and expanded enterprises that dye and finish cotton, chemical fiber and blended materials.
