This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This section uses redrafted law revision using ISO 6079:1990 "Specification solid instant tea." this part of ISO 6079:1990 as compared to the main technical differences are as follows.

--- Increasing the solid instant tea classification, sensory requirements, increasing the polyphenol content requirements of the physical and chemical indicators;

--- Test methods and requirements to increase the corresponding content;

--- Increased inspection rules;

--- Complement the contextual label logo, packaging, transportation and storage;

Chapter 3 --- Remove the definition of international standards.

This part made the following editorial changes.

--- Remove the foreword and introduction of international standards;

--- "This International Standard" be replaced by "of this section." this part is proposed by the China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives.

This part of the National Technical Committee of Standardization Tea (SAC/TC339) centralized.

1 Scope

GB/T 18798 provisions of this part of the solid instant tea product classifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, label marking, packaging, Transport and storage.

This section applies to tea (CamelliasinensisL.O.kuntze) buds, leaves, tender stems as raw material, water extraction, separation, concentration, dry Instant tea made of dry (water-soluble solids).

This section does not apply to non-tea containing carbohydrate bulking agent or filler as instant tea, tea extract containing from outside Hong Instant tea and go (low) caffeine instant tea material substance.
