Introduction
GB/T 18233 "General Cabling for Information Technology User Buildings" is intended to guide the design of general cabling systems in specific types of buildings.
GB/T 18233 is compiled based on ISO/IEC 11801.According to ISO/IEC 11801, according to different building types and scenes, GB/T 18233 is planned to consist of 6 parts.
--- Part 1: General requirements. The purpose is to provide a design basis for a general cabling system for user buildings and to provide a design basis for a cabling system for a specific location.
Provides a general reference for system design.
--- Part 2: Office space. The purpose is to provide a design basis for general cabling systems in office spaces.
--- Part 3: Industrial buildings. The purpose is to provide a design basis for a general cabling system for industrial buildings.
--- Part 4: Residential. The purpose is to provide a design basis for common residential cabling systems.

a) Specifies a general cabling structure that supports multiple applications, including but not limited to the applications in Appendix A of GB/T 18233.1-2022;
b) Uses Class D, Class E, Class EA, Class F, Class FA and Class BCT-B balanced cabling as specified in GB/T 18233.1-2022 link;
c) BCT-C coaxial cable channels and links specified in GB/T 18233.1-2022 are used;
d) The component requirements specified in GB/T 18233.1-2022 are adopted, and the requirements for ensuring that permanent link and channel performance meet or exceed Deployment methods that are required by specific application groups (such as levels).
The life expectancy of a general cabling system depends on the environmental conditions, the application being supported, the material of the cable, and other factors such as the length of the path.
Access (campus paths are more difficult to access than building paths). By selecting appropriate components, the expected life of the general cabling system that meets the requirements of this document can be Life span is more than 10 years.
