This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 17751-1999 "Methods for Monitoring and Evaluation of Energy Utilization of Transport Vessels". 1 Scope

GB/T 17751-2021 is the Chinese national standard on survey-evaluation method of energy utilization for transport ships, in the field of services and company organization. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 21 May 2021 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2021. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Energyutilizingconditionofthetransportships energyutilizingconditionofthetransportships The actual energy consumption and energy consumption level reflected in the power plant, energy-using equipment and operation management of the transport ship.

3.2 The monitoring evaluation of the energy-utilizing conditions of ships Supervise, inspect, and test the energy utilization status of ships in accordance with the laws and standards on energy conservation of the country and relevant authorities Test, analyze and evaluate work.
