1 Scope
This document specifies a common Business Identifier Code (BIC) for the automatic processing of financial services information among financial and non-financial institutions components and structure.
Business identification codes are used to process messages, route transactions, and identify business organizations.
This document is for organizations, not individuals.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
