Scope
GB/T 15678-2010 is the English-translated version of 氧化铒.
GB/T 15678-2010 is the Chinese national standard on erbium oxide, in the field of metallurgy. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 14 January 2011 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 November 2011. Classification: ICS 77.120.99, CCS H65. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 15678-1995 "erbium oxide." This standard compared with GB/T 15678-1995, the main changes are as follows:
--- According to GB/T 17803 "rare earth products grades representation" requirement, digital grades representation;
--- Deleted Er2O
3 Grade/REO content of not less than 95%;
--- For Er2O3/REO content of not less than 99.99% of rare earth impurities in the number of examination grades have been adjusted;
--- The assessment of non-rare earth impurities has been adjusted. This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee of rare earth (SAC/TC229) centralized. This standard by Guangdong Zhujiang Rare Earth Co., Ltd. is responsible for drafting. This standard by the Jiangyin Jiahua Advanced Material Resources Co., Ltd Ganzhou Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd. Yixing new Leeshing Participated in the drafting. The main drafters of this standard. Jin Yanhua, Denghan Qin, Xie Jianwei, Nam Hung Yao, Yu Zhichun. This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows:
