Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part
1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 15268-2008 "Mulberry silkworm fresh cocoons". Compared with GB/T 15268-2008, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, In addition to the above, the main technical changes are as follows:
--- Added the terms and definitions of "pupa cocoon" and "pupa cocoon rate", and deleted the terms and definitions of "relaxation rate", "silk length" and "relaxation length" (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);
--- Changed "quality classification" to "quality requirements" and changed the corresponding technical requirements (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2008 edition);
--- Changed "sampling" to "sampling", and changed the corresponding technical requirements (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the.2008 edition);
--- Changed "test method" to "inspection method" and changed the corresponding technical requirements (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the.2008 edition);

1 Scope

This document specifies the quality requirements, sampling, inspection rules, packaging, storage, transportation and marking of fresh silkworm cocoons, and describes the corresponding inspection method. This document is applicable to the quality inspection and assessment of fresh silkworm cocoons produced using the silk reeling method.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 9111-2015, GB/T 9176-2016, GB/T 19113-2022 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 pupatedcocoon The pupation is normal, the pupal surface is not damaged and the cocoon is of normal color.
3.2 pupatedcocoonrate The percentage of pupation cocoons to the total number of sample cocoons.
4 Quality requirements
4.1 General requirements The quality of fresh silkworm cocoons is expressed in grades, which are determined by basic indicators and supplementary indicators. Basic indicators include the silk yield and relaxation rate of cocoons. The correction indicators include pupation cocoon rate, 10,000-meter cocoon roughness and cleanliness, a total of 3 indicators.
4.2 Basic indicator level The basic indicator level is divided into 11 levels, from high to low, from level 1 to level 11, and below level 11 is a substandard product. It shall be executed according to Table 1.
