GB/T 15120 "Identification cards - Recording technique" is divided into three parts.

--- Part 1. letterpress;

--- Part 2. low coercivity magnetic stripe;

--- Part 6. Magnetic stripe - High coercivity.

This section GB/T 15120 Part 1.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This Part replaces GB/T 15120.1-1994 "Identification cards - Recording technique - Part 1. Embossing" and GB/T 15120.3-1994 "Part 3 Identification cards - Recording technique. position the ID-1 type card embossed characters." this section compared with the GB/T 15120.1-1994, the main changes are as follows.

--- This revision includes requirements GB/T 15120.3-1994 given;

--- The original ISO/IEC 7810. This section is transferred to the special physical characteristics of embossed described in 1995;

--- Adds an informative appendix test method is used to describe the performance of letterpress.

This section uses the translation method identical with ISO/IEC 7811-1:2002 "Identification cards - Recording technique - Part 1. Embossing." Consistency correspondence between this part of international documents and normative references of our files are as follows.

1 Scope

GB/T 15120 in this section specifies the requirements for the identification card embossed characters. Embossed characters for data transfer, either by transfer Embossing machine, you can use the visual or machine readable way. This section considers the factors of human and machine aspects and clarify the minimum requirement.

The purpose of this section is to provide a card guidelines should be followed. In this section does not consider the amount of use, if any, is based on previous Experience card test. It does not comply with the guidelines should be negotiated in the two sides involved in.

ISO/IEC 10373-1 specifies the test procedures for verifying compliance with the card parameters specified in this section.

Note. In this section used in the International System of Units and/or imperial measuring system of value may have been converted, and thus is not exactly equal to each other. Two kinds Format may be used, but the two should not be mixed or re-converted. It was originally designed to use imperial measuring system.

2 Compliance

A prerequisite for compliance with this section is consistent with ISO/IEC 7810 requirements regarding ID-1 type card. If compliance with this tag all will be part of the requirements, it is consistent with this section. Unless otherwise specified, use the default values.
