Scope
GB/T 15072.4-2025 is the English-translated version of 贵金属合金化学分析方法 第4部分:钯含量的测定.
GB/T 15072.4-2025 is the Chinese national standard on methods for chemical analysis of precious metal alloys - part 4: determination of palladium content, in the field of metallurgy. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 29 August 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2026. Classification: ICS 77.120.99, CCS H15. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

4.1 Principle The samples were decomposed with nitric acid; samples containing gold, platinum, rhodium, iridium, or tungsten alloys were decomposed with a mixed solution of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. Reduction and separation were performed using sodium nitrite. Silver was separated by precipitation with silver chloride, and tungsten was separated by precipitation with tungsten trioxide. Palladium was precipitated with dimethylglyoxime in dilute hydrochloric acid medium, and determined by gravimetric method. Palladium content.
4.2 Reagents or Materials Unless otherwise specified, only reagents confirmed to be of analytical grade and distilled or deionized water or water of equivalent purity shall be used in the analysis.
