Foreword
This standard is GB/T 15071-1994 "metal dysprosium" amendments. This standard and GB/T 15071-1994 main changes compared to as follows:
--- According to GB/T 17803-1999 "rare earth products grades representation" grade digital representation;
--- Cancel the original standard Dy-
8 Grades (Dy/RE, 95%);
--- Increased 104040 Grade (Dy/RE, 99.99%) and 104 025 Grades (Dy/RE, 99.5%);
--- The assessment indicators of certain non-rare earth impurities have been adjusted. This standard was proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission, Office of Rare Earth. This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee rare. This standard by the Beijing Nonferrous Metal Research Institute, Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute jointly responsible for drafting. This standard by Ganzhou Qiandong Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., the South of rare earth high-tech Co., Ltd. (Ganzhou Nonferrous Metallurgy Research Institute), Lake Southern Rare Earth Metal Material Research Institute participated in the drafting. The main drafters of this standard. Yangguang Lu, Rui Hong, Li Zongan, Xie Ping, Nam Hung Yao, Du Wen, Weng Guoqing. This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows:

This standard specifies the dysprosium metal requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to the direct thermal reduction of calcium and calcium master alloy heat and a vacuum distillation method for the production of dysprosium metal, mainly used for NdFeB Alloys and magnetostrictive alloys.

3 Requirements
3.1 Chemical composition Grades and chemical composition shall comply with the requirements in Table 1. Demand side, such products have special requirements, supply and demand sides can be negotiated.
3.2 Appearance
3.2.1 The bulk product is silver-gray metal.
