Scope

GB/T 14353.10-2010 is the English-translated version of 铜矿石、铅矿石和锌矿石化学分析方法 第10部分:钨量测定.

GB/T 14353.10-2010 is Part 10 of the GB/T 14353 series and gives the method for determining the tungsten content of copper ores, lead ores and zinc ores.

The sample is decomposed by alkali fusion and extracted with hot water, and iron, titanium, cobalt, nickel and other elements are separated from tungsten by hydroxide precipitation; in a sulfuric acid - phenylhydroxyacetic acid - cinchonine - potassium chlorate system tungsten then gives a sensitive catalytic polarographic wave.

The tungsten is calculated from the derivative peak current, measured at a starting potential of -0.5 V and a peak potential of about -0.76 V against a saturated calomel electrode.

The method covers 1 µg/g to 200 µg/g of tungsten. It replaces GB/T 14353.10-1993, was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 February 2011.

3 Principle

Sample decomposition by alkali fusion, hot water extraction. Iron, titanium, cobalt, nickel and other elements and tungsten hydroxide precipitate was separated from the sulfuric acid - phenyl acetic acid - oct Ning - potassium chlorate system, tungsten, a sensitive polarographic catalytic wave. On Polarograph starting potential of -0.5V (to calomel electrode as reference Electrode), the peak potential of about -0.76V (saturated calomel electrode) at the pole with a spectrometer measuring peak current portion of derivative calculate the amount of tungsten.

4 Reagents

Unless otherwise stated in this section are consistent with the use of analytical reagent and GB/T 6682 analytical laboratory use in the analysis.

4.1 Sodium peroxide.

4.2 Ethanol.

4.3 Sulfuric acid (11), Warning. Improper dilution can be dangerous.

4.4 Phenylhydroxyacetic acid solution (100g/L).

4.5 Potassium chlorate solution (60g/L).

4.6 Cinchonine solution (4g/L)

Weigh 0.4g cinchonine, a solution of sulfuric acid (4.3), water and transferred to 100mL volumetric flask, and dilute to the mark.
