1 Scope

GB/T 14078-2024 is the Chinese national standard on technical specification for he-ne lasers, in the field of electronics. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 23 August 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2024. Classification: ICS 31.260, CCS L51. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15313-2008 are applicable to this document.

3.1 Helium-Neonlaser; He-Nelaser A laser that uses neon as the working substance and helium as the auxiliary gas.

3.2 Mean time to failure; MTTF The average working time before a product becomes irreparable.

3.3 Ignition voltage discharge voltage The voltage required between the two electrodes to break down the laser discharge tube and produce a stable discharge.
