Scope
GB/T 11837-2009 is the English-translated version of 混凝土管用混凝土抗压强度试验方法.
GB/T 11837-2009 is the Chinese national standard on test methods of the concrete compressive strength of concrete pipes for water, in the field of construction materials and building. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 9 March 2009 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 5 November 2009. Classification: ICS 91.100.30, CCS Q04. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 11837-1989 "Standard Test Method for Compressive Strength of Concrete concrete works." This standard and GB/T 11837-1989 main differences are as follows:
--- Adjust some normative references (Chapter 2);
--- Improve the main test equipment (Chapter 4);
--- Perfected specimen production requirements (Chapter 6);
--- A perfect specimen of the conservation requirements (Chapter 7);
--- Canceled Appendix A core sample test method for compressive test specimen. The standard proposed by China Building Materials Federation. This standard specifies the test piece of concrete compressive strength of concrete test method works involved, mainly test equipment, take concrete mixture Sample, specimen production, specimen conservation, test procedures, test results of calculations, test reports. Test methods specified in this standard apply to prestressed concrete pipes, prestressed concrete cylinder pipes, concrete and reinforced concrete pipes Determination of compressive strength of concrete pipe making.
