GB/T 11765-2026 is the English-translated version of 油茶籽油.

GB/T 11765-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering camellia oil - the tea seed oil pressed in southern China, high in oleic acid and often sold at a premium, with the grades, the fatty acid profile that identifies it and the checks against blending with cheaper oils. It replaces GB/T 11765-2018 and has been in force since 1 November 2026. It was issued on 30 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026, replacing GB/T 11765-2018. This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 11765-2018 "Camellia Seed Oil". Compared with GB/T 11765-2018, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes. Aside from the changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The definitions of the terms "pressed camellia seed oil" and "extracted camellia seed oil" have been revised (see 3.4, 3.6, and

1.Scope This document defines the terminology and definitions of camellia seed oil, and specifies its classification, relative density and fatty acid composition, quality requirements, and inspection procedures. The document describes the corresponding inspection methods for the procedures, labeling, packaging, storage, transportation, and sales. This document applies to both crude camellia seed oil and refined camellia seed oil. The quality specifications for crude camellia seed oil are only applicable to the trade of crude camellia seed oil.

4 Classification

4.1 Camellia seed oil is classified into crude camellia seed oil and finished camellia seed oil according to the degree of processing.

4.2 According to the processing technology, finished camellia seed oil is divided into pressed camellia seed oil, pressed refined camellia seed oil and extracted camellia seed oil.

5.Relative density and fatty acid composition The relative density and fatty acid composition of camellia seed oil should conform to the specifications in Table

1.These compositions and parameters represent the basic characteristics of camellia seed oil. The claims regarding authenticity are for reference only. See Appendix A for optional claims for camellia seed oil.

6 Quality Requirements

6.1 Quality Indicators of Camellia Seed Crude Oil The quality indicators of crude camellia seed oil should meet the requirements of Table 2.

6.2 Quality Indicators of Finished Camellia Seed Oil The quality indicators of pressed camellia seed oil should meet the requirements of Table 3, and the quality indicators of pressed refined camellia seed oil and extracted camellia seed oil should meet the requirements of Table 4. 7 Test methods

7.1 Relative density test. Performed in accordance with GB/T 5526.

7.2 Fatty acid composition test. Performed in accordance with GB 5009.168.

7.3 Transparency, odor and taste tests. Performed in accordance with GB/T 5525.

7.4 Moisture and volatile matter content testing. Performed in accordance with GB 5009.236.

7.5 Test for insoluble impurities. Performed in accordance with GB/T 15688.

7.6 Acid value test. Performed in accordance with GB 5009.229.

7.7 Peroxide value test. Performed in accordance with GB 5009.227.

7.8 Solvent residue test. Performed in accordance with GB 5009.262.

7.9 Color inspection. Performed in accordance with GB/T 5009.37.

7.10 Heating test. Performed in accordance with GB/T 5531.

7.11 Soap content test. Performed in accordance with GB/T 5533.

7.12 Smoke point test. Performed in accordance with GB/T 20795.

8 Inspection Rules

8.1 Sampling Perform in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 5524.

8.2 Factory Inspection

8.2.1 Each batch shall be inspected and an inspection report shall be issued.

8.2.2 Crude camellia seed oil shall be inspected according to the items specified in Table 2, and finished camellia seed oil shall be inspected according to the items specified in Table 3 or Table 4. test.

8.3 Type Testing

8.3.1 Type testing shall be conducted when there are significant changes in raw materials, equipment, or processes, or when required by supervisory and management authorities.

8.3.2 Conduct tests according to all items specified in Tables 1, 2, and 3 or

8.4 Judgment Rules

8.4.1 If the finished camellia seed oil product does not indicate its quality grade, it shall be deemed to be a product that does not comply with the provisions of this document.

8.4.2 If any one or more of the crude camellia seed products fail to meet the requirements of Table 2 after inspection, they shall be deemed to be products that do not comply with the provisions of this document. If a pressed camellia seed oil product fails to meet one or more of the requirements in Table 3 during inspection, it will be deemed a product that does not meet the corresponding grade. If any refined camellia seed oil or extracted camellia seed oil product fails to meet the requirements of Table 4 during testing, it shall be deemed to be non-compliant with the corresponding grade. 9.1 Product names should be labeled according to the terms and definitions.

9.2 The processing technology should be indicated on the packaging and accompanying documents, and the quality grade of finished camellia seed oil should also be indicated.

9.3 If the product's shelf life depends on certain special conditions, this should be indicated on the label.

10.1 Packaging

10.1.1 Sales packaging shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 17374.

10.1.2 Packaging and storage graphic symbols shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 191.

10.3 Transportation
