Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted: This document replaces GB/T 11416-2002 "Insulation Containers for Daily Use": This document is compared with GB/T 11416-2002, except for editorial amendments The main technical changes are as follows:

--- Added "Terms and Definitions" (see Chapter 3);

--- Added the provision that asbestos fillers should not be used (see 4:1, A2 of the:2002 edition);

--- Revised the schematic diagram of the main types of products and the names of components (see 4:2, 3:2 of the:2002 edition);

--- Modified the thermal insulation performance index of the small-mouth thermal insulation container, and changed the thermal insulation performance test time of the small-mouth thermal insulation container (see 5:2:1,:2002): Year edition A4:2:1:1);

--- Improved the description of products whose thermal insulation performance index can be reduced by 6 °C (see 5:2:1, 4:2:1:1 of the:2002 edition);

--- Increase the thickness requirements of plastic material shells (see 5:4:3, B1:2 of the:2002 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 11416-2021 is the Chinese national standard on domestic insulated containers, in the field of glass and ceramics industries. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 31 December 2021 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2022.
