The classification and product marking, requirements, test methods, and inspection regulations of marine multifunctional incinerators (hereinafter referred to as incinerators) specified in this document

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Cargo-associated waste

The waste generated during the stowage, loading and unloading of cargo on ships.

Note. Generally, it includes lining board, support board, lining material, packaging material, plywood, paper, cardboard, iron wire and steel strapping.

3.2 Cargo residue cargoesidues

Residues in the process of ship freight and goods stacking, that is, those that cannot be loaded in the cargo hold (overloading and overflow) or remain residual after unloading

Wastes left in the cargo hold (unloading residue and overflow).

3.3 Domesticwaste

Food wastes, domestic sewage and other wastes produced in the living quarters of ships, but excluding grey water.
