Foreword
This document conforms to GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting is scheduled.
This document supersedes GB/T 8602-1988 "Crude Wheel Hoops for Railways". Compared with GB/T 8602-1988, except for structural adjustments and compilation...
Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Increased the applicable locomotive and rolling stock speeds and axle loads for coarse wheel rims (see Chapter 1);
b) A definition for coarse wheel rims has been added (see Chapter 3);
c) The classification rules for Class A and Class B wheel rims have been deleted (see Chapter 3 of the 1988 edition).
d) The specification for wheel rim dimensions has been removed (see Chapter 4 of the 1988 edition);
e) The grade LG70 was added (see 5.1);
g) The requirements for the sampling location in the impact test have been changed (see 5.3.2, 5.4.2 in the 1988 edition).
h) Surface hardness testing requirements have been added (see 5.3.4);
i) Added requirements for microstructure and grain size, and changed the requirements for non-metallic inclusion levels (see 5.5, 5.7 in the 1988 edition).
j) The requirements for low magnification structures have been changed (see 5.6, 5.6 in the 1988 edition).
k) The requirements for ultrasonic testing have been changed (see 5.7, 5.8 in the 1988 edition).
l) The requirements for logo printing have been changed (see 7.1);
m) Hydrogen content detection has been added (see Appendix A).
