GB 50462-2024 is the Chinese national standard for the construction and acceptance of data center infrastructure, the site execution counterpart to the data center design code. China builds data centers at a rate no other country matches, and this is the document against which the work is inspected and signed off. It covers, discipline by discipline, the indoor decoration, ceilings, partitions, floor surfaces and free access floors, walls, columns, doors and windows; the power distribution system, its electrical installations, distribution lines and lighting; the lightning protection and grounding system; the air conditioning system, its equipment, ductwork and commissioning; the water supply and drainage system; the integrated wiring and network system, cable laying, cabinet and rack installation, equipment installation and debugging; the monitoring and security system; the electromagnetic shielding system, its structure, shielding doors, accessories and the shielding effectiveness self-check; the micro modular data center; and the container data center. Each of those clauses ends with its own construction and acceptance requirements. It closes with a comprehensive test covering temperature and humidity, air particle concentration, illumination, noise, shielding, grounding resistance, power quality, radio interference and power frequency magnetic field, the wiring system, electrostatic protection, system function and the design load test, and with the completion acceptance conditions and procedures. Eleven appendices give the record sheets used throughout.

Foreword
This document was issued on 8 May 2024 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the PRC and the State Administration for Market Regulation and takes effect on 1 September 2024.
It is a GB standard without the /T suffix: compliance is mandatory in China.
