1 Scope

This document stipulates the general requirements for flood and typhoon prevention, equipment and facilities requirements for flood and typhoon prevention, and the requirements for flood and typhoon prevention for shipbuilding enterprises (hereinafter referred to as enterprises). 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Flood and typhoon control Preventive measures taken to prevent catastrophic accidents caused by tides, typhoons, heavy rains, floods, lightning strikes, severe convective weather, etc.

3.2 Revetment A dike built to protect the water bank from erosion and collapse.

3.3 flood control wall Wall-like buildings built above the ground along rivers, rivers and coastal areas to block the tide.

Note. Flood control walls are the main flood control engineering facilities along the rivers, rivers and coasts.

3.4 Flood steel valve Flood control engineering facilities installed at the entrance of the flood control wall, dock and on both sides of the dock, which play the same role as the flood control wall.

3.5 Drainage pump station When the tide is higher than the ground, the rainwater and sewage in the sewer are collected into the collection well through the pump station and then lifted and discharged into the river (river, sea) facility.

Note. The water pump is generally a vertical axial flow pump.

3.6 Sewer steel valve A gate built at the sewer outlet to prevent tidal backflow during high tide.

4 General requirements for flood and typhoon prevention

4.1 Enterprises should set up flood and typhoon prevention headquarters, flood and typhoon prevention offices, flood and typhoon prevention emergency teams and other institutions according to their own conditions, and be responsible for flood and typhoon prevention.
