1 Scope

GB 42302-2022 is the Chinese national standard on respiratory protection - non-powered air-purifying respirators for escape, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 29 December 2022 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2024. This document specifies the classification, classification and marking, technical requirements, marking and packaging of self-priming filter escape respirators (hereinafter referred to as respirators) equipment, and the test method is described. This document is applicable to disposable respirators for protection against toxic and harmful gases, vapors and particles during escape. This document does not apply to escape breathing apparatus for hypoxic environments.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12903 and GB/T 18664 apply to this document.

3.1 Self-priming filter respirator non-poweredair-purifying respirators Rely on the wearer to breathe spontaneously to overcome the resistance of the parts, filter the toxic and harmful gases or vapors and particles in the environment, and supply them for breathing A respirator for clean air.
